Sandtown, GA (Wilkes County). 2007
With a population of about 20, Sandtown was one of over 500 places removed from the Georgia map by the DOT in 2006. For more information click here. The main argument was that including all these little towns clutters up the map. Outrage and pressure from the public caused the DOT to rethink this decision and most of the towns were revived in 2007. As I am looking at my copy of it, Sandtown is one of the few that were not reinstated, although there is plenty of blank space on the map.
